Both the author in the reading passage and the lecturer talk about the ethanol fuel. Yet their viewpoints contrast with each other. While the author mentions three reasons to support that ethanol is a good replacement for gasoline, the lecturer thinks otherwise, contending that those statements are not convincing.
First of all, while the writer states that using the ethanol fuel will make global warming more serious, the speaker presents opposing discourse to such a belief, reasoning that utilizing the ethanol fuel will remove the carbon dioxide instead of increasing the amount of it to the world. Because the ethanol fuel are made from the plants which counteract the release of carbon dioxide; the more plants planted for making the ethanol fuel, the more carbon dioxide will disappear.
Secondly, the writer presents that the production of ethanol fuel will reduce the food resource to the animals; however, as opposed to the conviction, the speaker argues that the ethanol fuel does not have to be obtained from the plants, it is possible to get it from other parts of the plants. Since that these parts will not be eaten by the animals at all, there will not be any disappearance of the food supply.
Thirdly, the price of the ethanol fuel is considered as a negative factor by the writer. But presented by the speaker to diminish the authenticity in the reading passage is the argument that the demand will become larger since the tax subside
While people are deciding what to do as a career, a lot of the factors will be considered. Some individuals believe that choose a job that is related to their parents would be fine because they have already fully understood the job and their parents can definitely offer a great help due to their profession, however, others think that they should not be refined in a certain area, it is better to take the challenge and find a job unrelated to their parents. From my perspective, I agree that it is nicer for children to choose jobs that are similar to their parents' jobs.
First of all, the children will be sure about their choices, in other words, it is not easy for them to give up. Since the children have watched their parents work for a long time, they are pretty familiar with what the job is and how the job do. Therefore, under this situation, they often make up their minds with certainty. For example, some doctors' children would like to be doctors and usually succeed. It is because they have watched their parents for decades and they realize the process of being doctors. In short, choosing a job similar to parents is more likely to have the perseverance and the lead to a good result.
Secondly, the parent will be the best guides for them, preventing them from being confused of frustrated. Given that their parents are so professional in this area, they are capable of giving useful advice, introducing the job correctly and providing the proper mental construction for their children. Under this circumstance, due to the information form the parents, children will not suffer so much confusion and frustration from choosing a job. For example, if the children have questions about the career, they can receive accurate answers.
Even though some people would say that children should not follow their parents because they will receive too much protection and safety from parents. However, in my opinion, parents have to play an important role when children are deciding which job to do. It is parents' function to protect their beloved children.
In conclusion, when considering whether a child should do the job similar with their parents or not, it is undeniable that there will be lots of debates from different aspects.
Yet, according to the above statements, I think it is better for children to choose jobs that are similar to their parents’ jobs than to choose jobs that are very different from their parents’ job.
s, and the price will become lower after the demand increase. Therefore, the price of ethanol fuel is able to compete with the gasoline.
