Both the author in the reading passage and the speaker talk about the possible explanation for the decline of the sea otters. Yet their viewpoints contrast with each other. While the author mentions three reasons to support the pollution hypothesis, the speaker thinks otherwise, contending that the attack by predators is more likely to be the cause of the decrease of sea otters.
First of all, the writer states that the known sources along the Alaskan coast can be the evidence of pollution hypothesis. However, the speaker presents opposing discourse to such a belief, reasoning that there were no dead sea otters found along the coast if they were really killed by the infections. The speaker says that the predators are more likely to be the reason for the death since the predators would eat the sea otters immediately.
Secondly, the writer indicates that the environmental pollution was the main reason because the entire ecosystem was affected. But, as opposed to this conviction, the speaker argues that the whale were disappeared because of the hunting by humans. Therefore, the orcas changed their diets and tended to hunt the smaller animals such as sea otters.
Thirdly, presented by the speaker to diminish the authenticity in the reading passage is the argument that the uneven pattern of otter decline is related to the access to the orcas of that location, while the writer thinks the uneven pattern is about the ocean currents. The speaker states that the orcas are large and do not live in shallow and rocky place. Therefore, it can explain the fact that there was no decline at the shallow and rocky areas.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?
In order to become financially responsible adults, children should learn to manage their own money at young age.
Many individuals agree that financial responsibility is considerable essential. Some people believe that children should learn to manage their own money at young age in order to become financially responsible adults, whereas other people believe that children need not take responsibility of money. As far as I am concerned, to be a financially responsible adult, education of financial management is necessary for a young child. I am willing to discuss it by proposing two main reasons.
First of all, being financially responsible is not a simple task for everyone, so youngsters should be taught how to deal with their money at a young age. It takes a great amount of time to educate young children the importance of managing money and the value of currency. That is to say, it might be too late if parents try to teach their children the correct attitude toward money when they have already become adults. Since changing a person's mind is very difficult, the education of financial management should be started in an early age.
Secondly, the experience of managing their own money will prevent children from making big mistakes in their future. For example, parents let children take charge of a little amount of money since childhood, at the meanwhile, telling their children how to manage their money. Under this situation, the experience will become the best lessons for the children and keep them from making wrong decisions in their coming lives. Some parents do not allow their children to utilize money on their own because they are afraid that their children will waste money on something not needed. However, it is the experience that teaches children the right means of harnessing money the most.
As has been demonstrated above, it is clear that children should be taught how to manage their property in order to be financially responsible in the future. After all, not a parent would like to see their beloved children make serious mistakes on finance when they grow up.
