Both the author in the reading passage and the lecturer talk about the science of archeology in the United Kingdom. While the author mentions three serious problems and limitations in Britain, the lecturer states that, in 1990, a new guideline was presented as the rules in to change the severe situation of archeology. 

First of all, while the writer states that many valuable artifacts were lost to construction projects, the speaker presents a discourse to such a belief, saying that the companies need to find the archeologists to examine the lands before starting the construction projects. According to the guideline, if the archeologists consider the place might be valuable, both the companies and the archeologists have to discuss and make a plan to preserve the area.

For success in a future job, the ability to relate well to people is more important than studying hard in school. 

Being successful in a future job is a dream to many people. Some people believe that being able to relate well to people is crucial, however, others contend that getting a high score is more prominent. From my opinion, understanding how to build a good relationship with other people is the key.

First of all, it is difficult to achieve success in a future job without the recommendation from other people. Because the recommendations are based on someone's trust, they are usually believable and persuasive. In other words, they can be very influential in people's career life. For example, in the companies, people who are recommended by supervisors are more likely to receive the advancement. Besides, compared to those who work so hard on their own, a recommendation will make success closer to people. Therefore, the relationship with people plays an important role.

Secondly, in order to succeed in a future job, learning from others' experiences is an essential process. Experiences symbolize valuable lessons. That is to say, people can obtain striking progress from those things they have done. However, nobody is capable of doing or seeing all the things in the world. As a result, people need to relate well to their friends, listening to their stories and exchange ideas with them. Under this circumstance, they become closer to the success.

Even though some people would consider that studying hard in school is vital because the academic knowledge is the fundamental element for everything; nonetheless, the things from the books will be useless if people do not possess the correct attitude. Without an open and wide view towards the world, it is impossible to be successful. The capacity of relating well to people not only allow people to make so many friends but also offer people an opportunity to form the perspective. 

In conclusion, though working hard on the school work can provide people a great amount of knowledge, it is clear that the ability to relate well to people is predominant. After all, the power of the relationship to people to a future job is so enormous that people are not able to predict.
