Both the author in the reading passage and the speaker talk about the fuel-cell engine for cars. Yet their viewpoints contrast with each other. While the author mentions three advantages of the fuel-cell engines over internal-combustion engines, the speaker thinks otherwise, contending that the statements of the author are too optimistic and fuel-cell engines will not be a good solution.

First of all, while the writer states that using fuel-cell engines is better because someday we will run out of oil for the internal-combustion engines, the speaker presents opposing discourse to such a belief, reasoning that the process of generating liquid hydrogen is not easy. Fuel-cell needs pure liquid hydrogen. But the process to generate it is too difficult, using fuel-cell engines is not a practical means.

Secondly, the writer indicates that hydrogen-based fuel cells will solve many pollution problems. However, as opposed to this conviction, the speaker argues that using hydrogen-based fuel cells will actually increase pollution problems. Since people need to burn coal and oil during the process of generating pure hydrogen, it will result in more pollution to the environment.

Thirdly, the writer points out that the fuel-cell engines will soon be economically competitive because they are more efficient in using its fuel. But, presented by the speaker to diminish the authenticity in the reading passage is the argument that fuel-cell engines will not be cost-saving because the materials for them is very expensive. The speaker says that cheap material is unsuccessful so far. Therefore, to make fuel-cell engines, it takes that kind of expensive metal.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?

People benefit more from traveling in their own country than from traveling to foreign countries.

Traveling has already become a common recreation for people nowadays. Some people believe that traveling in their own country is more beneficial, whereas other people believe that heading to a foreign countries is better. As far as I am concerned, going to a different country would benefit the travelers much more than just going to the other cities in the nation. I will explain two reasons in detail further in my essay.

First of all, people are able to completely relax themselves by traveling to foreign countries, which benefits them more than traveling in native area. By leaving own countries and experiencing a totally different local lifestyle, people are capable of relaxing and release the pressure because they do not need to care about the things happened in the home country. For example, if people travel to France, the most romantic country in the world, they can enjoy the relaxing atmosphere in the streets and will not be bothered by the staffs from their original places. On the contrary, people who travel in their own places also can receive the phone calls from their friends.

In addition, traveling to foreign countries would be more beneficial to people because they will learn more about themselves. Leaving the places that are familiar with is an essential process for people because it is the best chance to listen to their minds and then figure out what they want. For instance, people who go abroad will possess a great amount of time to talk to themselves since, at first, there is not a single friend. The more time people spend with themselves, the more they know about themselves. Under this situation, they can find what they want to do and what they like to do, which is very important for everyone.

As has been demonstrated above, it is clear that traveling to a foreign counties is able to generate more benefits to the travelers. People ought to leave their comfort zones, at least once in their lives, to create unforgettable memories and meet better selves.
